Dear Alumni,
Hello, and Happy New Year!
As we continue to settle in to 2008, the Student Chapter wishes to
inform you of a number of exciting new developments that are currently
coming to fruition in Tuscaloosa.
In terms of chapter growth, the Student Chapter is proud to announce a
record class since Delta Chi's return to campus. A total of 18 new
members from the Fall semester have been initiated, thereby fulfilling
a 100% increase in pledge class size from Fall 2006 to Fall 2007. In
addition, the Student Chapter is optimistically working towards
expanding its average Spring pledge class size from 3 pledges in 2006
and 2007 to 5 or 6 in 2008.
With this additional growth comes additional demands for a better
Chapter House environment, both from current Student Members and from
Prospective Members. Therefore, as an answer to the call, the Student
Chapter recently made the decision to expand the kitchen's operations
from serving dinner Mondays through Thursdays to an inclusion of lunch
on Mondays through Fridays. Also, to maintain a cleaner Chapter House
that will effectively maintain the greatest tangible asset that the
Fraternity owns, the Student Chapter also decided to add a housekeeper
that is responsible for all of the downstairs common areas, especially
the newly remodeled bathrooms.
In conclusion, the Student Chapter sincerely thanks all of our alumni
Brothers who have supported the continued growth of The Delta Chi
Fraternity at The University of Alabama. Truly, such strong support has
paid off as generous investments are beginning to lead to undeniable,
positive results.
These results, and the support behind them, are what make us truly proud
to say:
In The Bond,
The Student Chapter
